Tree Hunting

Every year after Thanksgiving Jeremy's family makes a day of hunting for their Christmas tree. I think they don't mean it to take a whole a day but this time it did. We started at about 8 am getting all the food ready so we could have the traditional chilli dogs. This is me putting the hot dogs in thermoses.

This is the large table of food for all
of us. We took 2 trucks because there
were 10 of us and 2 dogs. We did not
even come close to eating all the food
but definately better safe than sorry.

We went near Cedar City, UT to search for the tree and we ended up being in snow for most of the day. While everyone else was just trying to stay upright in the the slick ice my husband spent his time making snowballs to throw at the people he loved most. Me, I stayed in the car.

After a very long day of difficult searching due to being next to a riverbed most times, getting stuck, and having to back down the mountain until there was enough room to turn around we finally found the tree. Then we drove home in a blizzard after another vehicle slide into Jeremy's Dad's truck. We got home at about 8 pm. This was definitely a trip to remember. One of the longer and more adventurous. The food and company were great as always. We'll see what happens next year.
