Christmas Present

My present to my family this year was SCARVES! Every scarf
that every person is wearing I made. They each have their own
personality just like the owner and I love them all. I hope that
they will last for many years to come.

Christmas

My family has a Christmas breakfast tradition. I don't
know how long it's been going on but it's all I've ever
known. We make eggs benedict! My grandpa Buster
makes the best hollindaise sauce ever. It is the most
I ever look forward to breakfast.
This year we went to see the lights at Temple Square
and they were very beautiful. It was also very cold.
The poor babies got very cranky toward the end.
Regina and John brought their family into Salt Lake
for the Holiday and we were able to watch our oldest
niece be baptized. It was such a wonderful experience.

We also made sugar cookies! Just another tradition
that was almost forgotten. This is my niece Kathryn
being so very careful to not squish the dough as she
carries the freshly cut cookie to the tray.

Tree Hunting

Every year after Thanksgiving Jeremy's family makes a day of hunting for their Christmas tree. I think they don't mean it to take a whole a day but this time it did. We started at about 8 am getting all the food ready so we could have the traditional chilli dogs. This is me putting the hot dogs in thermoses.

This is the large table of food for all
of us. We took 2 trucks because there
were 10 of us and 2 dogs. We did not
even come close to eating all the food
but definately better safe than sorry.

We went near Cedar City, UT to search for the tree and we ended up being in snow for most of the day. While everyone else was just trying to stay upright in the the slick ice my husband spent his time making snowballs to throw at the people he loved most. Me, I stayed in the car.

After a very long day of difficult searching due to being next to a riverbed most times, getting stuck, and having to back down the mountain until there was enough room to turn around we finally found the tree. Then we drove home in a blizzard after another vehicle slide into Jeremy's Dad's truck. We got home at about 8 pm. This was definitely a trip to remember. One of the longer and more adventurous. The food and company were great as always. We'll see what happens next year.

Jeremy's Birthday

My poor husband has his birthday very close to Thanksgiving and this year it happened to be on Thanksgiving. It being his first birthday we are married he was not so sure he was ready to give up on his mom making his cake for him. So we celebrated down with his family. He really enjoyed turning one. See how proud they are are of him?

Really Late for Halloween

This is the finished product of all my sewing. I think I did
a pretty good job myself. My husband and I dressed up for halloween as 2 people from very different centuries. :)
