Bingham Family Visit
Danielle and her family. I wanted to see her before she
popped and take her all the cute baby goodies I had
made for her. While there we went to a fall festival
and got to roam around a corn maze, pet some animals,
and buy some yummy farm treats. She also asked me
to help her make a carseat cover and it turned out really
cute. I was very proud of how well she did seeing as how
the last time she'd sewn was before she was ten. We had
a great time relaxing and Jeremy enjoyed some gaming
with Brock.

Water Waste
There is something that I have never understood about Utah. What's with the wasting of water!?!?! I see this kind of thing all the time. Now I know that a little sidewalk spray is not THAT bad, but it's so much worst than that. First of all, it's OVERCAST. Second, it rained yesterday. Third, it's supposed to rain ALL WEEK! Forth, it's October! The first apartment complex that Jeremy and I lived in was aweful. They watered so often that the supposed grass was nothing more than a mudpit covered with grass. The green grass beckoned to the unsuspecting person who would then slip and fall in the mud underneath. This happens in shopping centers and many other places. Not to mention that even though they have these awesome adjustable sprinklers you still have to avoid the area because they aren't adjusted properly and water the sidewalk road, and anything nearby. Maybe it's not a big deal, but when you're from Vegas (where you're fined for watering in the middle of the day during the summer, and even have to wash your car early or late in the day) it seems like the biggest waste and you're really trained to notice those things. I think we all remember that water commercial with the fish in the lake next door who calls the boy brushing his teeth and asks him to turn off the running water. Let's hold commercial water wasting more accountable.
Coming to an end :(
The last part of our summer vacation was spent with Jeremy's family. After leaving my folks we headed to his parent's house. Kara and her girls came out for a fun day of swimming. Caitlin enjoyed meeting the nieces on Jeremy's side and playing with really vintage toys. Karina and her in-laws took us horseback riding, which was really fun and quite a treat. Afterwards we headed back to Utah where we went to Lagoon with everyone. It turned into a very fun summer.

Summertime
After Disneyland we went to 6 Flags, it was a nice break from the long lines. Caitlin wasn't able to go on as many rides here but she went on the Goliath (227' drop) and loved it. She couldn't stop smiling afterward. Then we spent a relaxing day at the beach and hit up a buffet afterward. She actually piled her plate with peppers and onions! Back at my folks house we taught her solitare and she got to meet Mimzy, the family dog.

Disneyland!!!!
This year Jeremy and I were able to go to Disneyland! We had a little extra money and so decided to treat our eldest niece Caitlin as well. It was the first time she was away from home and she did very well. (So did her parents) We went with my parents, the kids still at home, and Danielle's family. It was a very long day with very long lines, but it was great to be there. This was Caitlin's first experience with a theme park and she is the bravest short 9 year old I know. She was excited for every ride she could go on. She would've gone on them all but the height restrictions got her in the end. Hopefully Jeremy and I will be able to go again soon.

Memorial Day
This year for Memorial Day My grandparents invited us to go see some waterfalls with my Aunt Jen, Uncle Mike, and their kids too. We had a blast. We went the wrong way first but got it figured out in the end.

Grandpa had to make sure and take it easy. All his recent traveling has left him a little winded so he found lots of comfortable rocks to bond with.
I had made some fruity pebble treats and they were a big hit with Katie. If she saw anybody else eating one she got upset. She wanted them all in her tiny little hands.
The falls were beautiful, and noisy. It turned out to be a great day. Jeremy and I found some great rocks, blue, green, and purple. He wanted to take one home. He wanted a pet rock so he could call it Petroc Trelawney. (Magik reference, great books, read them.)

Puppy Love

My Parents have a new dog,
Mimzy. She is a really cute
toy poodle. She plays fetch
very well and is always happy
to have company. If she ever
catches you laying down then
she licks all over your face.
She buries her treats in blanketswhen she wants to sleep and
barks at other dogs on tv. She is
the sweetest dog.
Anniversary
Jeremy and I celebrated our first anniversary on May 9th. I've never been horseback riding but always wanted to go. Jeremy's sister Karina has a horse and so he talked to her and she gave me a riding lesson. Her and Nick said I did very well for my first time out. I didn't bounce as much as most beginners. I had a lot of fun. It was a great present.Wedding

Christmas Present
Christmas
My family has a Christmas breakfast tradition. I don't
know how long it's been going on but it's all I've ever
known. We make eggs benedict! My grandpa Buster
makes the best hollindaise sauce ever. It is the most
This year we went to see the lights at Temple Square
and they were very beautiful. It was also very cold.
The poor babies got very cranky toward the end.
Regina and John brought their family into Salt Lake
for the Holiday and we were able to watch our oldest
niece be baptized. It was such a wonderful experience.

We also made sugar cookies! Just another tradition
We also made sugar cookies! Just another tradition
that was almost forgotten. This is my niece Kathryn
being so very careful to not squish the dough as she
carries the freshly cut cookie to the tray.
